    When it helps

    • Posting a flyer or notice you received as a PDF on social media, a blog or in a chat
    • Submitting documents to a form that accepts only images
    • Using one page of a presentation as a picture in another document

    Choosing a resolution

A PDF has no fixed pixel size, so you choose how large to draw it. 1× is 72 dpi, which makes an A4 page about 595 × 842 pixels. 2× (144 dpi) looks good on screen; for small print or images you will print, choose 3× or 4×. Higher resolution is sharper but makes larger files.

    Good to know

Once a page is an image, its text can no longer be selected or searched. Keep the original PDF. Converting long PDFs at high resolution takes a while; you can follow the progress in the list.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is there a page limit?

There is no fixed limit, but converting hundreds of pages at 4× can slow down your browser.

    Can I get PNG instead?

Yes. Choose PNG as the format above. Documents with lots of text and lines look cleaner in PNG.

Can I get only certain pages?

All pages are saved in one ZIP. Unzip it and use the pages you need.
